The Sweet Spot is owned by Mery Ghattas, a Hampton Roads entrepreneur whose journey reflects the diversity and determination that make our community so special. Originally from Beirut, Lebanon, Mery earned her degree from Old Dominion University before turning her passion for desserts into one of the area’s most recognizable sweet shops. Today, The Sweet Spot is known for its over-the-top milkshakes, funnel cakes, ice cream, churros, coffee, and handcrafted treats that bring families and friends together. More than a dessert shop, Mery has created a place where the Hampton Roads community celebrates life’s sweetest moments. Whether she’s serving up something sweet or simply making someone’s day a little brighter, that’s who Mery is at her core.
